Questions

Questions people ask before they send us their scans

If your question is not here, message us and a coordinator will answer you.

What exactly do I get for the fee?

A written report signed by an eye specialist, with their medical council number on it, plus a ten minute phone call where a coordinator explains it to you in plain words.

The report tells you if the surgery you were advised is needed now, can wait, or should not be done at all.

How much does it cost?

₹1,499, paid once, before we start. There is no second bill. If we later send you to a hospital, you pay the hospital for treatment, not us.

How long does it take?

Two days from the moment your files are complete. If a page is missing, the clock starts when you send it.

Will the doctor try to sell me surgery?

No. The doctor who reads your case does not operate on you and is paid the same whether the answer is yes or no. That is the whole point of this service.

Is my report safe? Who can see my scans?

Your files sit in locked storage. Only you, the coordinator handling your case, and the one doctor assigned to it can open them. Your name is hidden from the doctor.

We never sell your data and never send it to a hospital unless you say yes first.

What scans do I need to send?

Send whatever you already have: the prescription, the diagnosis note, and any scan printouts such as OCT, fundus photo, Pentacam or topography, visual field, or biometry.

If you are not sure, send everything. The coordinator will tell you what is missing.

My scan is only a paper printout. Is that enough?

Usually yes. Take a straight photo in good light with the whole page in the frame. If it cannot be read, we will ask you for a better one.

Will my own doctor be angry?

A second opinion is normal and your right. Good doctors welcome it. You do not have to tell anyone you asked us, and we never contact your doctor.

Do you look at my eyes yourselves?

No. We read your scans and reports. That is how a second opinion on surgery works everywhere in the world. If the specialist needs a test you have not done, we tell you which one to get.

What if the report says I do need surgery?

Then you know it is real, and you can go ahead without doubt. If you want, we hand your file to a checked hospital in your city so you do not repeat tests.

Can you help in an emergency?

No. If you suddenly lost vision, see flashes or a dark curtain, or your eye is red and painful, go to an eye hospital today. Do not wait for us.

Can I get my money back?

If we cannot find a suitable specialist for your case, or you cancel before a doctor starts reading, we return the fee.

Not sure if you need surgery?

Send us your scans. A senior eye doctor who will never operate on you reads them and tells you the truth in two days.
